STI - Today

As if to defy my previous observation, today its pattern reversed; bottomed at 10:00am and closed almost flat; minus 1.6 point at 2270.33. Volume was low at 786 mil with gainers 249 against losers 238. In the limelight were the Tech and Bank stock. OCBC up on better than expected quarterly result, gaining 15 cents ($6.45) and Chartered boosted  5 cents to $1.14.The dark horse of the day was Chuan Hup, solidly jumped 4.5 cents to 83 cents.  Looking at the intraday chart, the picture was an air of mellowed bear’s attempt to struggle for victory but failed.
